Knoxmen

During the American Revolutionary War, small bands of elite soldiers were formed. Self taught in tactics and weaponry these men were chosen for their enthusiasm, political reliability, and strength.  What set them apart form the main militia was their ability to be ready at a moments notice which is how they earned the name Minutemen.

The modern man's battle ground has changed immensely since those times. Instead of a physical invading army and a society preparing to withstand it, there is an unseen enemy prowling around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). Our battle is in our work places, our homes, and in our own minds. Men have become increasingly distant from one another, crippling the bond that holds us accountable to our values. Ecclesiastes 4:10 reads "If they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up." 

 

The purpose of the Knoxmen is to build and foster relationships between men through a structured platform of opportunities and resources. These relationships will provide encouragement, strength, and accountability for the men participating; preparing them to be like the minutemen in their own personal battles.
